Systems integrator Carter Brothers LLC has been named as one of the top businesses in Georgia by DiversityBusiness.com, a multicultural business Web site.
Former NFL wide receiver Cris Carter and his brother, business executive and entrepreneur John Carter, founded the Atlanta-based business in 2001. The fast-growing company solidified its presence in 10 states after acquiring Edwards Service from GE Security in 2007. In 2008, it further expanded its national footprint and capabilities by establishing a strategic alliance with Johnson Controls.
DiversityBusiness, with more than 46,000 members, is the largest organization of diversity-owned businesses in the United States that provide goods and services to Fortune 1000 companies, government agencies, and colleges and universities. The organization provides research and data collection services, including the “Top 500 Diversity Owned Companies in America” and similar lists for each state.
Carter Brothers was among the top three businesses listed for Georgia.
