TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State Attorney’s Office has released video surveillance footage of Florida State University quarterback De’Andre Johnson striking a woman at a bar.
The incident occurred on June 24 at Yianni’s bar in Tennessee. The video shows the 19-year-old quarterback gets into an argument with a woman at the bar.
The altercation started as a shoving match before Johnson punched the woman’s face and reportedly exited the bar soon after.
Johnson turned himself into police on June 30, the Tallahassee Democrat reports.

Florida State’s football team has suspended Johnson indefinitely in the wake of the incident.
Johnson is facing misdemeanor battery charges. If convicted, Johnson could face up to a year in jail, 12 months of probation or a $1,000 fine.
