Caught on CCTV: Inflatable Bouncy Castle Swept Away by Gust of Wind

A security camera captures an inflatable bouncy castle being swept away by a gust of wind, taking a 3-year-old who was playing inside along with it.

GUANGXI, CHINA – Video surveillance camera captured an inflatable bouncy castle in China’s Guangxi province being swept away by a gust of wind, taking with it a three-year-old who was playing inside.

The video shows a woman trying to grab on to the side of the large inflatable castle as the wind swept it into the air for five seconds, Daily Mailreports.

The unidentified young girl was thrown to the ground and suffered severe injuries. She died a short time later at a nearby hospital.

The bouncy castle was fixed to the ground with wires and stones. Health and safety officials said that the inflatable castle had not been licensed.

The video also shows parents and children can be seen running away from the bouncy castle, which had been set up outside a large supermarket.

According to CCTV News, the bouncy castle was fixed to the ground with wires and stones, and did not meet health and safety standards.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
