EAST BERNARD, Texas – Two teens are in hot water after video surveillance cameras captured the duo breaking into three schools in a small Texas town and stealing more than $250,000 worth of equipment from the facilities.
The 15- and 16-year-old male suspects, whose names have not been released, have been accused of breaking into East Bernard’s elementary, middle and high schools and stealing more than 100 iPads and laptops, KHOU.com reports.
The Wharton County Sheriff’s Department posted images from surveillance footage on its Facebook page to help find the suspects, even though they were wearing masks during the break-ins.

The teens were eventually turned in by someone they hoped would buy a stolen laptop. The students are facing charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
After the arrest, authorities learned the duo spent roughly four hours inside the schools.
School officials are not considering adding security alarms.
