CEC Increases Service Footprint With A&A Fire and Security Buy

HIAWATHA, Iowa—Iowa-based security and technology integrator CEC has purchased Green Bay, Wis.-based A&A Fire and Security. With more than 90 years of combined experience, both organizations currently offer life-safety, security, and health-care communications systems and services to their clients.

The integration of the two companies allows for an increase in technical and financial strength, offers expanded product and service offerings to customers and provides a greater service coverage area, says CEC President Matt Dlouhy. Additionally, the acquisition permits CEC to expand its monitoring and fire alarm testing and inspection services, while allowing A&A to provide audio/video and information technology offerings.

“CEC’s acquisition of A&A is a perfect fit,” Dlouhy says. “Both companies represent the industry’s leading products and have exceptional employees, allowing us to combine best practices so we can focus even more on the ultimate customer experience.”

Initially, CEC and A&A will operate under their existing company names as one company. The combined company headquarters will be in located in Hiawatha, Iowa.
