Cernium Corp., a developer of video analytics-enabled products, has signed a license agreement to integrate its ExitSentry® passenger flow monitoring capability into L-3 Communications Security and Detection Systems (SDS) checkpoint solutions.

ExitSentry will expand its checkpoint solutions offering to include protection for concourse exit lanes.

“Cernium is very pleased to join forces with the industry leader in security screening solutions,” says Craig Chambers, CEO and president, Cernium Corp. “This partnership will enhance the solutions offering from a trusted source and make ExitSentry available to airports that are upgrading or building new integrated checkpoint facilities.”

More than 60 ExitSentry units are installed in 35 major airports across North America. The product observes people and object flow to identify and alert wrong-way motion from public to secure areas.
