Cernium Recognized for Innovation in Video Surveillance

PALO ALTO, Calif.

Cernium Corp. earned Frost & Sullivan’s 2008 North American Emerging Company of the Year honor for its efforts in developing and promoting real-time, content analytics-enabled video surveillance products.

“Cernium has captured significant brand awareness and market share in the fast growing market for video analytics,” says Frost & Sullivan Security Analyst Dilip Sarangan. “It has garnered recognition from various competitors, partners and end-users as having the top-performing video analytics engine available, significantly increasing its revenues in the past three years.”

Cernium’s flagship Perceptrak® video alert and incident management system has nearly tripled annual sales since 2005, and is now the company’s leading product.

In 2007, the company introduced its P-Core™ Analytics Engine with its increasing use in non-security applications. P-Core is a set of algorithms that sit at the base of all Cernium products and make the analytics engine available for multiple platforms.

“Cernium is honored to be recognized for truly commercializing this powerful technology,” says Craig Chambers, Cernium president and CEO. “As a product company, we aim to bring innovative solutions for real world problems to the marketplace. This award confirms we are achieving that goal.”
