Chamberlain Strengthens Training Academy Curriculum
ELMHURST, Ill.
The Chamberlain Group Inc., a manufacturer of residential and commercial automated access control products, launches two new initiatives to enlarge and improve the educational breadth of its training academy.
The Chamberlain Training Academy is a teaching facility that instructs both novice and experienced integrators about installing and troubleshooting Chamberlain professional products.
The first plan involves the addition of more regional seminars with emphasis on new product and train-the-trainer programs for distributors and dealers. Secondly, the group seeks to create a common ground between the training provided Chamberlain customers and the training undergone by telephone agents who support those customers.
The following personnel changes have also been made to facilitate the execution of these initiatives:
Bill McCoy moves from training academy manager to regional seminar trainer. The promotion entails a new responsibility for formalizing the regional seminar training requests and programs. He will also serve as ad-hoc professor at the teaching facility when he is not traveling.
Edward Cam, formerly a training academy manager, will be now responsible for all training academy activities, including customer and telephone agent training.
