Channel Vision of Costa Mesa, Calif., releases the W-4001 Web camera server, which features a built-in Web server. It can convert up to four cameras to a digital IP camera, which can be viewed over a network.
The W-4001 features H.264/MJPEG/ MPEG4 video compression and supports two-way audio, allowing for video conferencing from a remote location. Video can be stored on an SD card or computer and played back remotely. Additionally, the unit can connect to most analog cameras, according to the company.
Users can view surveillance footage in real-time over the Internet using the central management system (CMS) software. Users can also access video from a 3G phone using apps specifically designed for iPhone and Android or from touch screen controllers.
