Checkpoint Systems Inc. announces that it has been selected by Canadian Tire, Canada’s largest hard-goods retailer, for the installation of CCTV systems in its network of 430 associated stores. “With an RF EAS program already in place, we can continue to provide value by reducing losses at Canadian Tire with our closed circuit television solutions,” says David Dowd, president and CEO of Checkpoint. “For the past two years, Canadian Tire has been a leader in Checkpoint’s Impulse source tagging program, with more than 3,000 SKUs with embedded electronic tags. With the acquisition of Meto AG and our expanded product line, we look forward to being able to play an even more integral role in providing Canadian Tire with additional loss prevention and supply chain management tools.”
Checkpoint’s integrated CCTV systems are already being used by major retailers worldwide, including Shoppers Drug Mart, Brewers Retail, Business Depot and A&P Food Stores.
