A Chicago-area community is looking to adopt a police
camera program that will allow officers to see into schools
and banks during incidents, local paper The Star
reports. Many cities use police cameras, but Calumet City’s
plan will allow police officers to view a school or bank’s
camera system from their squad car.
The program can be expanded to include any city business for a $5,000 fee to have its system connected to the police station.
