Security systems integrator Surveillance Specialties, Ltd. (SURV®) has been selected by Cisco Systems as an advanced technology partner (ATP) for its physical security solution suite. SURV will now deliver Cisco’s physical security offering throughout New England.

Cisco’s physical security solution provides broad network-centric capabilities in both video surveillance and access control and includes IP encoders and decoders, IP cameras, routers, as well access control hardware and software.

The Cisco solution enables customers to use their IP network as an open platform to build more collaborative and integrated physical security systems, while preserving existing investments in analog-based technology.

Invitation to participate in Cisco’s ATP program is exclusive and by nomination only. Once nominated by a Cisco sponsor, a company must fulfill a battery of requirements that include demonstrated IT proficiency, Cisco product knowledge and in-field expertise. SURV has successfully completed all of the ATP program requirements.

“Cisco’s IP-centric physical security solution is both forward-thinking and logical. The ability to leverage an existing network investment and gain additional functionality from it is exactly what I want for my clients, as well as my own organization,” says Justin Davis, COO, SURV.
