City of New York Approves Use of Advent Fire

ARDEN HILLS, Minn.

The City of New York Department of Buildings has approved the use of the Advent® Fire system according to the security business of GE Infrastructure. Permanent building materials and appliances must meet the minimum standards required in the Building Code as set by the Materials, Equipment and Acceptance (MEA) Division. With this approval, Advent Fire can be sold and installed in New York City buildings. Businesses, apartments, marinas and condominiums are just a few of the places that can benefit from the approval.

“With Advent Fire’s wireless initiating devices, installers do not have the cost of distributing or removing asbestos for pulling wires. Advent Fire’s wireless initiating devices also allow for quicker installations, decreasing labor costs for dealers and down time for their customers,” says Keith Moore, business development manager/project engineer for GE Security.
