CMS to Construct New Facility in SoCal
LONGWOOD, Fla.
Criticom Monitoring Services™ (CMS), a provider of wholesale monitoring and related services to alarm dealers and installers, announces the construction of a UL listed facility in Cypress, Calif., located about 25 miles south of Los Angeles.
The company will invest $2.5 million to build a 14,000-square-foot structure outfitted with state-of-the-art computer and telecommunications systems, dual generators and UPS backup. The center is replacing a current facility located in nearby Irvine, Calif., and is scheduled to be completed in early 2008.
More than 140 employees, including dealer support and IT personnel, from the Irvine location are expected to continue their roles at the new center, according to the company.
The company currently has monitoring facilities in Longwood, Fla., Manasquan, N.J., St. Paul, Minn., and Irvine.
“This upgrade and all future enhancements are being undertaken with the goal in mind of delivering more to our dealers and helping them to compete aggressively as providers who offer technologically advanced and specialized monitoring,” says CMS President Tony Wilson.
