CO Detector Designed for Use With Burglar and Fire Alarm Panels

Published: November 30, 2006

System Sensor of St. Charles, Ill., a Honeywell company, introduces the CO1224, a 12/24V carbon monoxide (CO) detector designed for use with security and fire alarm control panels. The CO1224 can calculate the level of CO present, signaling the panel when a possible life-threatening level of CO exists. The detector can be monitored by a central station and locally by audible and visual notification when CO levels reach an unsafe level.

According to System Sensor, this CO detector has a relatively low current draw and is the first specifically made to be interfaced with an alarm control panel. It also has a built-in trouble relay and SEMS terminals for wiring supervision.
