Coleman Cable Inc., a manufacturer of electrical wire and cable products, has relocated its distribution center to Pleasant Prairie, Wis., as part of the company’s plan to expand distribution capabilities.

The 500,000 square foot facility is located on about 28 acres and contains both warehouse and office space. The company plans to have the facility in operation by April 1.

The new distribution facility will allow consolidation of existing distribution facilities currently located in Indianapolis; Gurnee, Ill.; and Waukegan, Ill.

“The Pleasant Prairie location is needed in order to meet growing demands due to the company’s increasing sales and continued growth,” says Gary Yetman, Coleman’s president and CEO. “This will mark another important milestone for Coleman and should enable us to be more efficient in our distribution operations, to take advantage of recent developments in supply chain systems, and ultimately and most importantly, to better serve our customers.”
