Published: February 28, 2006

The HAWK-541VXIRCB color camera by HAWK-I of Hauppauge, N.Y., features an externally controlled DC auto-iris, varifocal lens. The advantage to this is that you do not have to open the camera to change the lens’ focal length, which spans 4 to 9 mm.

The product is weather- and tamperproof and comes with a Sony SuperHad 420-line chip. It is also IR capable, has a range of 60 feet and has a day/night chip set for use in all applications. For added security, the video cable is installed through the bracket.
