FRAMINGHAM, Mass. ― Security industry professionals are invited to join SSI on the eve of ISC West as we present an affair that includes the SAMMY (Sales & Marketing) Awards, SSI Industry Hall of Fame induction ceremony and the Most Valuable Product (MVP) Awards.
Now in its 21st year, the SAMMYs serves as the industry’s only program of its kind to recognize and honor installing security dealers and systems integrators for their marketing, business, installation and overall excellence. SSI will profile the 2016 SAMMY winners and finalists in the June issue, and the Installers of the Year and Integrated Installation of the Year case studies will be featured in July’s Best of the Best Issue.

The 12th Annual SSI Industry Hall of Fame induction ceremony will once again be emceed by original 2005 SSI Hall of Fame inductee Ron Davis, who also pens SSI‘s Big Idea column. In alphabetical order, the 2016 inductees are: Frank DeFina (Hikvision/Samsung/Panasonic); Russ MacDonnell (Rapid Response); Todd Pedersen (Vivint); Kit Vail (Silent Knight); George Weinstock (Morse Signaling, Protection 1); and Bruce and Roger Westphal (Bay Alarm).
Now in its second year, the MVP Awards aim to showcase how important products and technologies are to the success of security integration companies. Awards will be given in main and subcategories encompassing access control, fire/life safety, home controls, intrusion detection, video surveillance and more.
