FRESNO, Calif. – Complete Home Security and Services, based here, has joined Guardian Protection Services’ authorized dealer program. Complete Home markets to the Central Valley area and will expand its coverage with a soon-to-open office in Visalia, Calif., located 40 miles south of Fresno.
Complete Home was founded in 2011 by David Shea, president and CEO, and Javier Alavarez, partner and CFO. Both men have a history of successful experience in the security industry, Shea with 15 years’ experience and Alvarez with six years’ experience, following a career in the banking industry. The firm has posted annual double-digit growth each year since it started.

As part of its growth strategy, Complete Home recently hired two direct marketing specialists and plans to leverage a variety of promotional methods, including a brand building effort in the communities it serves and increased efforts in promoting home automation services.
“We are in a relatively small geographic area. Our goal has been and will continue to be, doing things in a quality manner and operating in an ethical fashion,” Shea explains. “Concurrent to this is our goal to create a business environment that fosters a legacy for the future and allows us and our employees the opportunity to grow and be profitable.”
According to Shea, two key features attracted him and his partner to the Guardian dealer program: the accessibility of Guardian’s senior leadership and the manner in which the Warrendale, Pa.-based company services its customers, specifically in the precise delegation of roles and responsibilities.
“In touring Guardian’s corporate facility, we could see that they are relationship people; hearing Joe Colosimo’s story and Russ Cersosimo’s story [Guardian president and CEO, respectively] they sounded similar to ours. We felt there was a level of personal dedication and desire to do business together that we had not seen in other programs.”
Shea said he appreciated the way “the company operates in its delegation of tasks is such that there is no ‘bleed over’; calls are directed to subject matter experts within the company. We liked this feature because we felt that it would provide our customers better service for both the short and the long term.”
Brian Helt, vice president of the Guardian authorized dealer program expressed confidence in its new dealer.
“We like that they want to own their zip codes and focus on providing quality product and service to their customers,” Helt said. “Quite simply, our goals are aligned. I’d like to have 10 more dealers just like them.”
