COMPUDYNE UNIT’S SOFTWARE TO BE USED IN ST. LOUIS JUSTICE CENTER

HANOVER, Md.

CompuDyne Corp. announces that its CorrLogic subsidiary, a Boulder, Colo.-based software systems company that provides institutional management systems to criminal justice and public safety agencies, has been awarded a $745,000 contract from St. Louis to automate the St. Louis City Justice Center. The facility, scheduled to open in January 2002, will serve as the primary intake center for all residents remanded into custody. The new center will add 845 beds to the detention center, bringing total detention capacity to more than 1,500 beds in two facilities. Under the contract, CorrLogic will implement its Premier(tm) Institutional Management System (IMS) software to automate the inmate records for the two facilities within St. Louis’ City Justice Center.

“The decision by the client to buy the Premier system was made after in-depth examination of alternative systems in the market and reconfirms our position as industry leader in this area,” asserts CorrLogic President Mick Deasey. CompuDyne is composed of five businesses with positions in physical and electronic security and technology-based integrated justice systems solutions.
