CompuDyne’s Revenues Skyrocket 331 percent in 3rd Quarter

HANOVER, Md.

CompuDyne Corp., whose seven businesses include Norment Security Group and SYSCO Security Systems, announces record revenues and earnings for the third quarter and nine months of 1999.  Third-quarter revenues of $27.8 million were up 331 percent from $6.5 million in 1998; third-quarter net income of $654,000 was up 208 percent from $212,000; and third-quarter diluted earnings per share were 11 cents compared to 4 cents in the prior period.  Revenue for the first nine months of 1999 was $775 million, up 338 percent from $17.7 million in 1998; net income was $1.7 million, an increase of 232 percent from $500,000; and diluted earnings per share rose to 29 cents compared to 11 cents.  Most of CompuDyne’s increase in revenue was a result of its acquisitions of Norment/Northshield and Corrlogic.
