ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The CSO Roundtable of ASIS Int’l has awarded its Leadership in Security Award to Congressman Dan Lungren (R-CA) for his efforts in the fight against global terrorism.
Lungren has served on the California House Committee on Homeland Security since its establishment and is the ranking member of that committee’s subcommittee on emerging threats, cyber security, and science and technology. He is also a member of its subcommittees on management, investigations and oversight; and transportation security and infrastructure protection.
“We are delighted to honor Representative Lungren for his dedicated leadership in and devotion to homeland security,” says Timothy Janes, CPP, co-chair of the CSO Roundtable Advisory Board. “He works tirelessly in multiple committees and subcommittees to protect the United States from virtually every possible vector of attack, and he appreciates the importance of the private sector in this mission.”
Introduced in 2009, the Leadership in Security Award is given to a security professional, public official, business executive or other recipient who has demonstrated outstanding leadership toward the enhancement of security. The award to Lungren was presented during a recent CSO Roundtable breakfast with lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
