Consult Red Appoints David Webster as New Chief Financial Officer

Webster will sit on Consult Red’s board and join its executive leadership team as the company drives growth.

SHIPLEY, U.K. — Connected devices and systems technology company Consult Red recently announced the appointment of David Webster as its new chief financial officer.

Webster “will sit on Consult Red’s board and join its executive leadership team as the company drives growth, propelled by demand for consultancy and engineering services in embedded systems, connectivity and embedded AI applications,” according to a company announcement.

His addition to the leadership team “reflects Consult Red’s commitment to continued growth and financial excellence,” building on the work of outgoing CFO Paul Stevenson, the company announcement says.

Consult Red has worked with cameras for both smart home and industrial applications, with expertise covering sensors, lens, processor and video control interfaces, as well as edge AI applications.

Why Consult Red Hired David Webster as CFO

Webster is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and brings experience in finance, operations and strategy to his new role.

Before joining Consult Red, he served as finance director at Horizon Platforms Ltd., where he helped the business grow from £13m ($16.4 million) to £22m ($27.8 million) turnover and was involved in the transition to employee ownership.

Webster has also worked in telecommunications, retail, fast-moving consumer goods and construction, where he has developed skills and knowledge that have been instrumental in improving financial and operational performance and driving growth for multiple organizations.

He also holds non-executive director roles at the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Mast Academy Trust.
