ControlByNet Finding Traction With Hosted Video at Large Apartment Complexes
The company recently added six apartment communities in Atlanta that chose to move away from their existing analog systems to CBN’s managed video solution.
ATLANTA – ControlByNet (CBN), a software development provider in cloud-based and managed services for video surveillance solutions, is aiming to expand its customer base to include more community managers at large apartment complexes.
CBN’s primary vertical market focus is commercial businesses; however, the company announced it is experiencing increased demand from larger apartment properties for its i-flashback software, a multisite solution. The company recently added six apartment communities here that chose to move away from their existing analog systems to CBN’s managed video solution.
“This step-up to larger communities was natural for us,” says Ryan Strange, CEO of CBN. “Our hosted solution for smaller communities helped leverage us into larger properties that needed a combination offsite-onsite solution. The managed server option lets us offer our larger customers the same software in which our hosted customers already have benefitted.”
CBN’s i-flashback cloud-based solution provides apartment management companies a single Web login that provides access to video surveillance to all of their properties, including remote viewing with mobile devices. Additionally, the managed server solution allows cameras to be recorded offsite for an extra layer of security for the property.
“We may not be experts in managing properties or even great salespeople, but we know security and video surveillance and the technology needed to make it easy to monitor more than one camera [or] site at a time,” Strange says.
