SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Convergint Technologies continues its purchasing frenzy as it acquired Edison, N.J.-based Corporate Security Services on Wednesday. The transaction marks Convergint’s fifth acquisition in as many months.
“2016 has been a historic year for Convergint, with a record number of five acquisitions in five months, and more to come,” said Dan Moceri, executive chairman and co-founder of Convergint Technologies. Moceri added that Corporate Security Services “shares Convergint’s mission to be our customers’ best service provider.”
Here is an excerpt from the company’s press release on the acquisition:
Convergint continues to drive double digit growth both organically and through acquisitions, four of which have deepened its capabilities domestically, and one that has expanded its global footprint. Amplifying the reach and expertise of Convergint, these acquisitions reinforce Convergint’s dedication to being the best service provider possible for its customers around the world.
Corporate Security Services, founded in 1993, provides security solutions to the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia areas. According to Convergint, the acquisition expands its reach in those areas and provides robust engineering expertise in designing complex integrated systems.
“Teaming with Convergint allows us to offer the opportunities provided by a large organization while still maintaining the personal connection and quick response to which our clients have become accustomed,” said Robert McCabe, president of Corporate Security Services. “Convergint’s commitment to superior customer service was a driving factor in our decision to join their team.”
