Cooper Industries, a manufacturer of electronic products, announces the acquisition of Roam Secure Inc., a text-based alerting and regional mass notification company based in Arlington, Va.
Roam Secure’s current installed base includes city, county and regional municipalities throughout the United States, as well as a growing base of education, commercial, industrial, healthcare and other campus environments.
“The combined acquisitions of Wheelock in 2006, MadahCom earlier this year, and now Roam Secure extends our Cooper Notification platform to provide a fully integrated and multilayered approach to emergency mass notification,” says Cooper Industries Chairman and CEO Kirk Hachigian.
Roam Secure will become part of the Cooper Notification platform, reporting through Cooper Menvier.
Cooper closed 13 deals in 2007 to build out its product platforms, add more end-user solutions and expand globally.
