A U.S. Federal court judge has concluded that a $270 million antitrust lawsuit filed by ID Security Systems Canada Inc. against RF-based loss prevention systems provider Checkpoint Systems Inc. will be presented to a jury at trial.
The trial will begin April 22, while a hearing to resolve other pretrial matters will take place March 7.
ID Systems alleges that Thorofare, N.J.-based Checkpoint maintained its monopoly by interfering with ID Systems’ contract to distribute anti-theft retail tags made by Tokai Electronics of Japan.
