CSAA Makes Training Pact With SIA

The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) has reached an agreement with the Security Industry Association (SIA) in which those taking CSAA’s online Level I operator training course can get certificates from both associations.

That SIA certificate can then be used for states requiring it for licensing. CSAA Executive Vice President Steve Doyle says the agreement will allow central stations to get new operators up to speed much quicker and will not have to send them very far to get trained, with the course taking place online.

“A lot of the smaller central stations can’t afford to send an operator to be trained,” Doyle says. “This is the way to go.”
