CSAA Operator Training Now Available
VIENNA, Va.
Central station personnel can now be trained online through a training course by the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA). The course covers eight modules and tests, which will be administered by the association’s online training management company, the CMoore Group.
The modules are: Operational Overview of Central Stations; The Role of the Central Station Operator; Alarm Verification; Communications; Equipment; Telephone and Radio Skills; UL Listing and FM Approvals; and Emergency Procedures.
Once operators complete all eight modules, they will be considered “CSAA Certified Central Station Operators” and will receive a certificate. Companies that have all of their operators trained online will be designated as a “CSAA Five-Star, 100-percent Certified Operator Trained Central Station” for that year. Company names will be posted on CSAA’s Web site.
The course provides the skills and understanding employees must know before handling a call. They are presented with policies and procedures for handling a wide variety of situations they will face as central station operators.
