AVAD LLC, a distributor of custom home electronics, is expanding its presence in Canada with the opening of a facility in Calgary – its second Canadian location. The new facility is expected to bring AVAD’s blend of best brands, training and service to western Canadian custom installers and retailers.
The 21,362 square-foot facility will include showroom space, a training facility, multiple display areas, a dedicated theater room to display AVAD’s latest technologies and products, and ample warehouse space.
“We are very excited to announce the opening of AVAD’s Calgary location,” says Bob Gartland, president of AVAD. “Expanding AVAD’s reach to western Canadian dealers illustrates our commitment to serving Canadian customers with our unique business model that includes the best brands, regular dealer training and facilities that help our customers grow their businesses.”
Spearheading AVAD’s Canadian venture is Deena Ghazarian, project director for AVAD-Canada, who leads the company’s market entry and execution. Ghazarian is working toward building strong business-to-business relationships with dealers, while giving vendors the ability to expand their presence in the Canadian marketplace.
Merlin Love, a four-year member of the AVAD team, will oversee the debut of the Calgary facility as branch manager. As sales manager for Canada, Scot Kerek will be the primary sales contact for the company in the Canadian marketplace. He will also work in selecting AVAD’s business partners.
