DATACARD AGREES TO LICENSE, DISTRIBUTE ACTIVCARD SOFTWARE
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. and FREMONT, Calif.
Datacard Group, a provider of plastic card personalization and identity management solutions, and ActivCard, a provider of multiapplication smart card authentication and identity management software, announce an agreement in which Datacard will license, integrate and sell ActivCard digital identity software through Datacard’s worldwide distribution channels.
Under the agreement, Datacard will market, distribute and support three primary ActivCard software packages for smart card programs: ActivCard Gold(tm); ActivPack(tm) for NDS(r); and ActivPack(tm) for Windows(tm) NT. “By adding ActivCard to the Datacard identity management solutions portfolio, we’ve provided a critical extra layer of security that identity programs need to integrate multiapplication smart card technology with confidence,” says Scott Henkel, vice president, solutions division at Datacard.
These products will be sold as both standalone packages and as part of a larger solution that includes Datacard card printers, identity software, cameras and accessories as a complete smart card issuance and enrollment solution.
