Day/Night Dome Cameras Feature 10-Bit Digital Image Enhancement

Published: August 31, 2006

The HAWK-400 Series of infrared color dome cameras by HAWK-I of Hauppauge, N.Y., feature dual voltage – either 12VDC or 24VAC. Dealers have the choice of a 420- or 500-line Sony SuperHad chip.  According to HAWK-I, the infrared feature, which works up to 60 feet away, will not reflect off of the dome, which can degrade or render the image unusable.

The HAWK-415IRCD and -425IRCD feature a 3.6mm changeable lens. The 420VIRCD and 430VIRCD come with a 4-9mm DC auto-iris varifocal lens to allow the operator to adjust the camera’s field of view. All HAWK-400 camera models come with HAWK-I’s DIAL10-bit digital image enhancement technology. The camera models have day and night capability with a light sensitivity of 0.1 lux without the IR on. The HAWK-400 Series includes a three-axis Gimbal mount.
