The home of the future was on display at the Electronic Home (EH) Expo Oct. 24-27. Held at the Long Beach Convention Center in its second California appearance, the mood of the show was upbeat. With its emphasis on entertainment – home theater in particular – one might have inferred that the only lasting effect of the Sept. 11 attacks on the nation’s consciousness might be a need for escapist entertainment.
