Dedicated Micros Acquires Baxall Camera Business

Published: October 31, 2007

LAS VEGAS — Dedicated Micros had more than its products to talk about and demonstrate during ASIS. The company announced on the show floor that its parent company, AD Group, acquired U.K.-based camera manufacturer Baxall Ltd.

The company had recently been put into receivership under the administration of KPMG Corporate Restructuring. The acquisition includes Baxall’s intellectual property, current inventory, as well as production equipment, according to Dedicated Micros.

The Baxall products, which will now be marketed and sold by Dedicated Micros, include the series of ICE-Dome cameras that incorporate a 3-axis GyroView set-up allowing the camera to be positioned to cover any aspect of a scene. Dedicated Micros will continue to sell Baxall’s high resolution ICE and ICE+ camera series.

The company says it will integrate its NetVu connected technology into the ICE IP series, but will sell the existing cameras until the integration is complete.
