The parent company of Dedicated Micros has acquired a U.K.-
based CCTV supplier with the goal of expanding the
company’s business worldwide, especially in the North
American electronic security market.
Officials say the acquisition of Dennard Ltd., which supplies CCTV equipment including domes and associated peripherals, by Dedicated Micros Group (DMG) of Manchester, England, will enable the company to offer a broader product portfolio to its global customer base. Dennard is now a wholly owned subsidiary of DMG.
“Our product ranges are complementary,” said Nigel Petrie, chairman of DMG, “We plan to use our global sales relationships to grow Dennard’s business worldwide, with particular emphasis on the North American market.”
Company officials say with Dennard’s domes with Dedicated Micros’ range of digital multiplexer recorders, DMG can now offer customers a one-stop CCTV solution. Distributors and integrators will also be able to source DVRs and domes from a single supplier, enabling for technical compatibility and simplifying installation.
The acquisition includes the entire Dennard range of dome cameras and housings, pan and tilt mechanisms, controllers, lamps, brackets and metalwork. Dennard will continue to operate under its own name from its Hampshire base.
