CCTV equipment-maker Dedicated Micros is partnering with access control manufacturer PCSC on an integrated video surveillance/access control solution. Digital video multiplexer recorders (DVMRs) manufactured by Dedicated Micros will be combined with the Torrance, Calif., company’s LiNC-NET access control system.
With this system, end users will be able to verify a user’s ID photo with a live digital image from the DVMR. If the ID card is denied, a security event will occur.
“We believe this new union will provide added value for managing video,” says Dedicated Micros Vice President of Marketing Don Taylor.
