Dedicated Micros has announced its TransVu Media won the “Judges Choice Commercial Product” in the Security Industry Association (SIA)-sponsored New Product Showcase at 2007 ISC West in Las Vegas.
The TransVu Media is the newest addition to the company’s mobile digital CCTV recording system TransVu family. One of the winning features was the capability for customers to obtain recurring revenue from the mobile DVR.
“The TransVu Media allows our customers to actually generate revenue through advertising, which dramatically increases the ROI,” says Mark Provinsal, vice president of strategic marketing and products for Dedicated Micros.
The dual-purpose, NetVu Connected TransVu Media feeds on-board display screens with stored advertising messages together with travel information, while simultaneously recording CCTV images from inside the cabin. Text capabilities can be used to indicate the next stop on the route, and selected screens may be triggered to play when the vehicle passes GPS coordinates of commercial stops or points of interest.
The driver can view the mounted, full-screen display with sequencing and alarm functions, including a reverse camera view that provides both rider security and vehicle management. At the depot, the TransVu automatically downloads its recorded images via WiFi connection.
