SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Dedrone, a leading software provider offering protection against drone threats, and global technology integrator World Wide Technology (WWT) announce a new alliance to defend against drone threats.

WWT will design, test and implement solutions based on Dedrone’s airspace security technology for commercial and government clients.

These solutions can detect and neutralize unauthorized drones in a surrounding area, according to the company.

“Airspace security is a cutting-edge sector, and Dedrone is at the center of it,” says Jim Kavanaugh, CEO of WWT. “A big part of our job is exposing customers to innovative technology that’s disrupting the market and that’s what we see in Dedrone. Our customers will benefit greatly from Dedrone becoming a part of our diverse technology ecosystem.”

In addition to their alliance, the Dedrone drone detection solution will be featured in WWT’s Advanced Technology Center (ATC) at its St. Louis headquarters.

The ATC is a collaborative ecosystem to design, build, educate, demonstrate and deploy innovative technology products and integrated architectural solutions for WWT customers, partners and employees.

It is a fully scalable environment that eliminates the risk, uncertainty and complexity often associated when implementing new technology.

This will allow Dedrone customers to test any proposed deployment of their solution to arrive at the right configuration before it is installed, ensuring a seamless and successful integration into their existing security program, according to the company.

“The threat that drones pose to enterprises, financial institutions, and data centers, as well as other organizations with critical infrastructure, is no longer a theory. Malicious, terrorist and hacker drones are in our skies today and are a significant risk to the secure protection of data as well as the infrastructure and people that protect it,” says Joerg Lamprecht, CEO and co-founder of Dedrone. “WWT has always been the first to provide the most innovative technologies for their customers. Together, Dedrone and WWT provide the world’s most relevant public and private companies airspace protection.”
