CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – Security industry veteran Frank DeFina has joined video surveillance products manufacturer Hikvision USA as senior director of strategic sales.
With more than 20 years of experience in the security and technology industries, DeFina will work to further Hikvision USA’s key relationships with customers and partners in North America, with a focus on the company’s strategic projects and vertical solution sales.

Prior to joining the Hikvision team, DeFina worked for Samsung Techwin America as vice president of sales and marketing where he where he launched new reseller channels, led ambitious sales initiatives, and established strong partnerships with vendors for North American security business.
In May 2014, DeFina announced that he would vacate his position at Samsung, citing personal reasons.
Roughly two months later, the industry veteran announced that he would serve as executive vice president of sales and marketing for Sightlogix, a provider of smart thermal cameras for outdoor security applications.
A member of the executive board of the Security Industry Association (SIA) and the International Biometrics Industry Association (IBIA), DeFina made a name for himself in the security technology industry when he served at Panasonic for 26 years, serving is several positions, such as president and COO.
