Detection Systems Inc. (DS) and its Radionics division announce that both companies have contracted to sell their security and fire products over the Internet through AlarmX.com, an on-line marketplace and resource center for the security alarm, low-voltage and systems integration industries. The San Francisco-based Internet company’s site will provide DS a secure Web presence where established dealers can log on, select products from complete catalogs, receive individualized pricing and discounts, place orders, and schedule and track deliveries.
“The agreement with AlarmX.com is our first initiative to sell our security and fire protection products over the Internet,” says Karl H. Kostusiak, chairman and CEO of DS. “We believe that this agreement with AlarmX.com will allow us to enhance our reputation for technological leadership, broad product offerings, and quality by making it easier for our expanding customer base to fully utilize our capabilities.” Mark Miller, president and founder of AlarmX.com, adds, “We are thrilled that Detection Systems and Radionics have joined the growing number of companies conducting business through the AlarmX.com site.”
