Published: November 10, 2009

Detex Corp., a provider of life safety and security door hardware for commercial properties, has reached an agreement with Lockman Peck LLC to purchase the intellectual property and all exclusive rights related to its automatic door operator product line.

Detex has been offering Lockman’s Model 2000 line under a private label. The product line is currently produced at Lockman’s South Bend, Ind., facility but will transition to Detex in New Braunfels, Texas, by the end of the year.

“Our automatic door customers will now have the benefit of a single integrated product line that will perform all the desired functions seamlessly and conveniently,” says Detex President John Blodgett. “We are pleased to add this high-quality line to the Detex brand, as well as to have the continuing benefit of Lockman Peck’s expertise on these products.”

Detex has also appointed Scott Peck as sales engineer. Peck will be tasked with providing a smooth integration of the automatic operator product line into the Detex brand from the customer service and technical sales perspectives.
