Dialer Capture Module Reports Alarms Over Network or Internet

Published: December 31, 2005

Bosch Security Systems of Fairport, N.Y., demonstrated the C900V2 dialer capture module at the recent ASIS show in Orlando. This module is designed to capture an alarm panel’s digital communicator data and transmit it over a high-speed network connection to a central station at the other end. The device will work with Bosch panels as well as an assortment of others.

Operation is said to be seamless because the Bosch dialer capture module is designed to simulate a central station receiver, issuing the customary acknowledgement and kiss-off signals for the alarm panel’s digital communicator. The firm developed the C900V2 to address two trends in technology: First, many households and businesses are switching from landline telephone service to cellular; second, many people are also using high-speed broadband or Internet.
