BAY CITY, Mich. — DICE Corp. recently hosted the its annual user group conference at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, Mich. The conference kicked off on a Monday evening with a meet and greet at the top of the resort on “Level 17,” where guests were treated to a spectacular sunset over Lake Michigan’s Grand Traverse Bay. The casual get together allowed guests to catch up with friends, meet with staff and network with other DICE users before the start of the event’s sessions and panels, according to a news release.

The following morning DICE Corp. President and CEO Cliff Dice began the day with his keynote address. He introduced a new company overview video, a look at DICE’s progress in the past year, and the company’s goals for the year ahead. These include a commitment to building the best event management software available and releasing an industry-exclusive cloud-based video recording technology (CVR), he says.

“Cloud video recording is the future of event management, and we’re making a significant investment in building a team to engineer the technology that will make this a reality,” Dice says. “By being fully integrated with our event management software and smart security systems that recognize objects and sizes, our CVR system will place video monitoring technology in the hands of the end user, which is unlike anything currently available.”

Tuesday also featured overviews of Matrix Monitoring V17, Fire Inspection, iPBX and redundant systems, and a presentation from DICE’s sister company IPtelX on the telecom advantages that are available for DICE users.

After discussions on Matrix Service, Matrix Sales, and cloud centers on Wednesday, the group boarded charter buses for a fall color tour around the Grand Traverse Bay and the rolling hills, vineyards and cherry orchards on the Leelanau Peninsula. Stopping at Black Star Farms, one of Michigan’s celebrated wineries and culinary locales, attendees enjoyed a variety of wine tasting stations and a unique meal, which featured locally grown vegetables and meats selected by Black Star Farms’ chefs.

“The color tour and dinner at Black Star Farms was a perfect opportunity to highlight a unique part of our state and encourage fellowship between our clients and staff,” says Amy Augustin, DICE’s marketing and communications director. “With the leaves just starting to change, a crisp breeze and a brilliant sunset, this outing captured the essence of autumn in Michigan and will be an unforgettable experience for our users.”

The event concluded with sessions on the SMS CRM communications gateway, information on DICE support services, and an interactive panel on transitioning to cloud hosting solutions led by a selection of North American central station IT managers.
