Diebold Inc. has acquired Cardinal Brothers Manufacturing & Operations Pty. Ltd., a design, fabrication and manufacturing entity with a core competency in physical security for the Australian and New Zealand market.
Cardinal Brothers has been a Diebold partner since 1999. Both companies developed Rising Screen technology for use by financial and government institutions to deter robberies. “We are extremely pleased to make one of our strong business partners a permanent part of the Diebold family in Australia, and at the same time, expand the scope of our security offering to our customer base,” said Bartholomew J. Frazzitta, vice president of security for Diebold.
Cardinal Brothers will become a division of Diebold and be renamed Diebold Physical Security Solutions. Michael Cardinal, managing director of Cardinal and the inventor of Rising Screen technology, will serve as division manager in Victoria, Australia.
