Diebold Inc. has purchased the assets of Richmond, Va.-based security integrator Applied Systems Technologies. The purchase comes as part of Diebold’s strategy to heighten its role in providing integrated security products to current and potential customers.
Applied Systems Technologies has provided electronic security solutions for more than 14 years, and will become a part of NCI, a Diebold-owned company also based in Richmond.
“This step further strengthens Diebold’s national presence in the electronic security arena,” Richard Baggot, vice president of Diebold’s electronic security and currency systems group, said in a statement.
