Diebold Inc. announces all of its U.S. Event Monitoring Center (EMC) associates have earned an Advanced Operator Online Training Course certification through the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA).
The CSAA curriculum, an extension of the Level 1 course, includes topics on dealing with difficult customer situations, enhanced customer service skills, specialty alarms, receiver formats, communications paths and managing false dispatches. CSAA recommends operators have at least five years of security monitoring experience and pass the Level 1 course before taking the advanced training. Topics covered in the Level 1 course are related to understanding the environment for dispatch training.
Diebold’s Mark Burnett, EMC manager, was chosen to assist with the development of the advanced operator training certification standards. The certification committee spent more than a year developing the course and standards. The course was released earlier this month.
