Diebold Inc., an electronic security integrator and manufacturer, announces it has received General Services Administration (GSA) SIN 132-62 vendor certification.
The qualification allows Diebold to provide Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 201-compliant end-to-end integrated turnkey services and products and integration services.
FIPS 201 was developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to meet the requirements of HSPD-12. One of the main objectives of HSPD-12 is to ensure government-wide interoperability for information technology and security through the implementation of a range of federal standards and product requirements. FIPS 201 seeks to improve identification and authentication of federal employees and contractors for access to federal facilities and information systems.
Core components of GSA SIN 132-62 include: enrollment and registration services and products; systems infrastructure services and products; card management and production services and products; and card activation and finalizations services and products.
“Diebold’s commitment to the federal government is strong and we will continue to add additional capabilities and certifications to better serve the needs of our customers, not only with comprehensive solutions, but also with complete service and lifecycle support,” says Diebold’s John Stroia, vice president, government and monitoring solutions.
