Digital Descriptor Systems Inc. (DDSI), a manufacturer and marketer of digitized imaging systems for the criminal justice and security markets, announces its has been awarded a contract for its security integration system (SI-3000) by the St. Lucie (Fla.) Sheriff’s Department. The project involves converting 90,000 digital images and will include interfaces to an in-house jail management application using an Oracle database, as well as integration to a records management application.
“Our systems integration software is designed to provide an easy-to-use, Web-type interface for access to photo images and data residing on a legacy system. SI-3000 is designed to coexist with hardware and software applications used by various agencies at the state, county and local levels,” says Garrett U. Cohn, DDSI president. DDSI also has plans to move into the access control and biometric identification industries.
