PALO ALTO, Calif. — abode systems, a provider of DIY smart home security, announces it has partnered with HelloTech, an on-demand, in-home tech support service, to provide premium installation and support services to abode customers opting to have their smart home security system installed for them.
abode customers interested in adding professional installation provided by HelloTech will have the option to add the service at checkout on the abode website, according to the company. Preferred appointment times will be selected and confirmed by HelloTech.
HelloTech’s technicians are available nationwide and automatically matched with each job. Cost for installation varies by system size but will start at $99.
abode says the partnership with HelloTech will begin with do-it-for-me installation services with plans to expand and introduce additional service and support features to customers in the future.

abode isn’t the first DIY security company to offer pro installs. Nest has its Pro service and LifeShield partnered with MasTec Advanced Technologies before it was acquired by ADT earlier this week.
