SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) is building on an established professional-grade video portfolio with the launch of VUE Plus cameras, an expansion that adds varifocal, panoramic and fisheye models to the existing VUE line, according to the company announcement.
The new models “offer higher resolution, direct panel integration, lower light use and onboard analytics purpose-built for the demands of professional alarm monitoring,” the announcement says.
VUE Plus cameras bring DMP’s proprietary AlarmVision technology to the edge, a “defining advantage that combines two capabilities most video solutions treat as separate,” according to the company announcement.
First, it “enables VUE Plus cameras to connect directly to DMP’s XR and XT Series intrusion control panels, allowing the camera to understand when a system is armed and respond accordingly,” the announcement says. Second, VUE Plus cameras “use onboard analytics to distinguish meaningful threats from routine activity, helping ensure only true alarm events are communicated to the panel.”
The result is “a smarter approach to alarm management, where intelligent analytics and intrusion detection work together to reduce nuisance alarms and improve response confidence,” according to the company announcement.
What Are Some of the Specs of the DMP VUE Plus Line?
VUE Plus cameras are available in a variety of 6MP, 8MP and 12MP resolutions, supporting up to four areas of interest or boundary boxes per camera for precise, zone-level alarm verification. Select models add red/blue or white deterrence lighting and two-way audio, enabling real-time response to suspicious activity directly from the camera.
VUE Plus cameras are ONVIF-compliant and built on an open architecture, giving dealers and end users greater control over how video systems are deployed, integrated and expanded over time.
“The security industry is being asked to verify alarms faster, respond smarter and reduce false dispatches. VUE Plus cameras do exactly that by combining onboard intelligence with direct panel integration,” says CEO Rick Britton in the DMP announcement.
“By bringing AlarmVision directly to the edge, your cameras will know when your panel is armed without additional hardware or complex integrations—helping you deliver smarter monitoring and greater confidence in alarm events,” he says.
VUE Plus Cameras are available now through authorized DMP dealers worldwide, backed by DMP’s support, training and warranty programs. For full specifications and dealer resources, visit dmp.com.
